Electronic cigarettes are a good alternative for people who want to quit using regular tobacco products. The issue is with people who are finding it tough to tell people what the product is when they ask about it.  Users of the electronic cigarette are finding that telling people about the product is much more difficult than just smoking a regular cigarette.

What people are doing when they are asked about the electronic cigarette?

People are beginning to see that it is much easier to resort to telling small lies in order to get people off of their backs. Smokers of the electronic cigarette feel that because it doesn’t resemble a natural looking cigarette, they are able to successfully make excuses as to what the product is for those who don’t understand.

The fibs are definitely creative. Some people tell those who inquire about the product that it is a nicotine inhaler that allows them to slowly get away from traditional nicotine products.  Some people refer to it as their personal vaporizer when they are prompted about what the product is. 

Some people refer to it as a personal steamer when they are prompted by onlookers. When prompted further they say that it helps them to breathe better.

It can become quite a challenge to constantly have to explain what the electronic cigarette is when people ask users. So what some people do is resort to stealth tactics so they can avoid being asked.

One of the reasons why this is becoming more and more necessary is because onlookers tend to ask very intrusive questions about the product. Sometimes onlookers will give hostile looks to users of the product because some claim it resembles certain drug paraphernalia.

Avid users of the electronic cigarette feel they should not have to justify themselves to onlookers. However, because of the controversy of the product and because it is still relatively unknown, it draws stares from people. 

It may be a good idea for serious users to only use the product when they are sure they can be away from the prying eyes of curious onlookers. Even though it may seem unfair, sometimes it is necessary in order to avoid intrusive questions that are difficult to explain.
